Acid balancer/buffer
A horse's stomach produces gastric acid 24/7. The horse's stomach is very prone to developing minor wounds or ulcers. The buffers and herbal mix ensure a healthy environment in the stomach. Buffers neutralise excess gastric acid and help control its production, maintaining a neutral pH in the stomach. The herbal mix boosts saliva production and protects the stomach lining from irritation.
Low sugar & starch
Some horses benefit from a diet low in sugar and starch. This applies, for example, to horses that suffer from recurring gastrointestinal problems, like stomach ulcers, colic and diarrhoea. Horses with metabolic problems such as: insulin dysregulation, obesity, laminitis, EMS, and muscle diseases (PSSM, RER). A low-sugar, low-starch feed avoids high peaks in blood glucose and insulin level, so it can also be used for horses that are susceptible to e.g. stress and overweight.
With soft fibers
Horses with gastric ulcers have a sensitive stomach lining. Long fibres can irritate the stomach lining and cause the horse to stop eating. Timothy-grass fibres are gentle on the stomach lining, avoiding gastric irritation.

Directions for use
Feed as you need
The foundation of good nutrition for your horse is adequate roughage and access to fresh drinking water. Supplement this base with concentrates or a balancer depending on the individual nutritional needs of the horse. Use supplements to fine tune.
Feeding recommendations for Cavalor FiberForce Gastro
We recommend a minimum of 500 g to maximum 1000 g per 100 kg body weight per day. For a 600 kg horse this means a minimum of 3 kg and a maximum of 6 kg per day. Divide the concentrate feed over several portions per day, preferably after feeding roughage.
