Easily digestible Optimal gut health
Extrudates are easily digestible and very highly absorbable. Probiotics ensure good digestion. They stimulate the development of good intestinal flora and promote good intestinal health overall. Fibre also supports better digestion and helps prevent intestinal problems.
Low sugar & starch
Some horses benefit from a diet low in sugar and starch. This applies, for example, to horses that suffer from recurring gastrointestinal problems, like stomach ulcers, colic and diarrhoea. Horses with metabolic problems such as: insulin dysregulation, obesity, laminitis, EMS, and muscle diseases (PSSM, RER). A low-sugar, low-starch feed avoids high peaks in blood glucose and insulin level, so it can also be used for horses that are susceptible to e.g. stress and overweight.
Energy from fiber and fat
For horses that are sensitive to sugar and starch, fat and fibre offer good alternative sources of energy. When fat and fibre are digested in the large intestine, volatile fatty acids are released. These volatile fatty acids are absorbed into the blood and serve as a source of slow-releasing energy.

Directions for use
Feed as you need
The foundation of good nutrition for your horse is adequate roughage and access to fresh drinking water. Supplement this base with concentrates or a balancer depending on the individual nutritional needs of the horse. Use supplements to fine tune.
Feeding recommendations for Cavalor FiberForce
We recommend a minimum of 500 g to maximum 2000 g per 100 kg body weight per day. For a 600 kg horse this means a minimum of 3 kg and a maximum of 12 kg per day. Divide the concentrate feed over several portions per day, preferably after feeding roughage.
